About FAMBUL ChrisMus Holiday Party & Fundraiser

Join FAMBUL for our ChrisMus Holiday Party & Fundraiser, in support of African Women and Their Stories (AWATS), a collective of young creatives in Sierra Leone dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of African women and girls.

The financial contribution for the fundraiser is $70, which goes toward supporting AWATS, and includes Sierra Leonean food and drinks provided by @2bigyai.

The fundraiser will be hosted by Josh and Mariam Bah Garcia at their home in Lower Manhattan. The address will be provided after your ticket has been purchased.

Whether or not you're able to make the fundraiser, we encourage you to consider ordering a presale GBOROKA t-shirt for $50. The t-shirt, which will be released in Spring 2025, is part of AWATS' campaign to raise awareness about Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The design incorporates cultural symbols such as cowries and the Bondo mask, referencing the Bondo Society while sparking dialogue around the pressing need to address FGM.
