The Science in Sport Tour de Lunsar, established in 2013 and organized by the Lunsar Cycling Club, is Sierra Leone’s premiere cycling competition. It’s grown from a single day showcase, to a four day event with participation from both domestic and international cyclists.

 

The Tour provides a focal point for the cycling community in Sierra Leone, and has been a key factor in the growth and development of the sport. It’s a source of national pride and an economic boost for the local community. The 2023 edition will consist of a Men's, Women's and Junior's category.

 

The registration fee to participate is $100 and prize money will be provided to the winner of each category, as well as the winners of the different stages.

 

We've partnered with FAMBUL and AFRICAP to produce official Tour de Lunsar merchandise. Proceeds from these sales will support the aspirations of the Lunar Cycling Team to make Sierra Leone a regional hub for the sport of cycling in West Africa.
